Macy Tanking

Consultant

Macy Tanking has spent 20+ years at the intersection of sales, performance, and the messy, fascinating work of growth. She started in frontline sales, found her way into enablement, and never looked back. Through her work at Microsoft, Meta, and Reddit, she has shaped a career around one core belief: how people think is the last untapped competitive advantage. She coaches executives, sales teams, and athletes with a grounding in organizational psychology and sports performance—and she doesn't show up to training rooms with a script. She shows up with curiosity, conviction, and a genuine commitment to not letting anyone fail on her watch.

Why do you like working with our clients?

I came up in sales, carrying a bag, learning the hard way, and figuring out what worked through reps, rejection, and the occasional win that reminded me why I loved it. I eventually moved into enablement and coaching, but I never lost the perspective of the person sitting across from the facilitator, wondering, "Is any of this actually going to help me?"

It will, but not because of frameworks alone. It's because I genuinely want to understand what's blocking you—and I have the background in organizational psychology to see dynamics and patterns that aren't always visible from the inside. I care about the numbers, but I care more about the person chasing them. My greatest measure of success isn't a metric; it's watching someone realize what they're actually capable of.

What are some fun facts about you?

  • I'm a TEDx speaker on neuro-linguistic programming and redefining the female mindset.
  • I'm a former amateur boxer whose career was cut short by a neck injury (which means I know a thing or two about resilience, pivoting, and finding a new fight).
  • I've been to 27 of the 30 MLB ballparks and counting…Tampa, Atlanta, Arizona, you're on deck.
